Biography

Mr. Kidwell has served as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs since July 2026. Before joining Diamondback, Mr. Kidwell served as Vice President – Lower 48 State Government Affairs, Stakeholder Relations, and Company Owned Surface Lands for ConocoPhillips from October 2021 to March 2026. Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Mr. Kidwell worked at Concho Resources from September 2011 to March 2021 serving in various capacities, most recently as Senior Vice President of Administration. Prior to joining Concho Resources, Mr. Kidwell was a shareholder in the Midland, Texas based law firm of Lynch, Chappell & Alsup, PC. Mr. Kidwell received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and his Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law.
